Risk Warning
Gliding, as with any recreational activity, can be DANGEROUS. Any person participating in the sport of gliding, including learning to glide, or flying in any aircraft being used in connection with gliding, does so at their own risk. Any services provided by Gliding Australia or the Club are provided on the Terms and Conditions of Liability and the Australian Consumer Law, and Fair Trading Act as set out in the Terms and Conditions document which the club will provide to you.
Refund Policy
Please choose carefully as all Southern Cross Gliding Club gift certificates and flight packages are valid for 36 months from date of purchase. Purchases are not refundable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash should you change your mind or be unable for any reason to take the flight within this period. If weather prevents your flight, we will reschedule at no additional cost.
Package Policy
Training packages (5 and 10 flight) include 3 months of Gliding Australia (GAus) membership. If you wish to extend your training beyond the initial 3-month period, additional Gliding Australia (GAus) membership fees will apply and must be renewed directly with Gliding Australia (GAus).
Weight Policy
For safety reasons, the maximum passenger weight is 100-110 kg depending on the specific aircraft being used. These limits are set by the aircraft manufacturer and are not negotiable. This is a safety requirement related to the aircraft's weight and balance envelope.
