Both trainee and experienced pilots are welcome. We have membership options to suit everyone.

Probationary Membership Packages
The easiest way to start is with one of our training packages. See the Learn to Fly page for details on our 5 flight ($870) and 10 flight ($1,400) packages.
Both packages include:
Full Members
The annual membership year runs from 1 May. If you join partway through the year, fees are calculated pro-rata. Full members have access to the complete fleet, can participate in competitions, and enjoy all club facilities.
Associate Members
For members of other Australian clubs or FAI-affiliated international clubs. Associate membership allows you to fly with us during visits. A check flight with one of our instructors is required before flying solo in club aircraft.
Scholarships
SCGC has a Scholarship scheme for eligible young persons. The scheme is designed to encourage and assist in training and flying by subsidising cost and is in addition to the student discount for membership.
Scholarship benefits:
SCGC glider hire charges are not payable by Scholarship holders for flights at Camden. SCGC glider launch charges remain payable for each flight. Scholarship benefits are available immediately on an interim basis on fulfilment of the Eligibility conditions.
Eligibility — applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Hold probationary or full membership of SCGC
- Be wholly or substantially supported by a parent/guardian
- Not have attained their twentieth birthday
- Have completed all flights purchased in a training package
- Submit a duly completed SCGC Scholarship Application form
